Candy Shoppe Designs is the December sponsor over on the XOXO Girls blog! If you are not familiar with their site, they are a scraplift blog! They have a large design team with an enormous range of scrapbooking styles to choose from. I think everyone get's scrappers block from time to time and scraplifting is a wonderful way to jump start your creating.

What exactly does scraplift mean?

Basically it means copying others' completed layouts in whole or in part, for your own personal use, by adopting design elements and ideas that you like and incorporating them into your own creations. Of course everyone likes to get credit for their ideas so remember it's proper etiquette to give credit to the person you are scraplifting ideas from whenever you borrow someone's ideas.

The 6th and final week challenge at Dixie Pieces was the "golden oldies". This was a fun one to end on - great list of title and a lot of possible layout ideas floating through my head.

all - American girl

Dixie Pieces music challenge for week 5 was Country Pop. The titles listed were from Carrie Underwood's songs.

DMC thread for stitching border
clear embossing power around the edge of the die-cut
Prima flowers, except I'm unsure about the white one.

Sketchy Thursday

I won several prizes at Sketchy Thursday.

How about these adorable stitched felt embellies? They are made by Amanda and found in another Etsy shop Crafty Paper Girl.

Don't you just love the texture of the canvas journey notes and felt/fabric flower set? I will be adding these to layouts very soon. These are from Jessi's Southern Lens Etsy shop.

I received these beautiful Berry Watercolor Notecards from Angela Fehr. They are almost to pretty to use, maybe I'll admire them for a while, then use them. :)

The mixed media flowers and map flowers are from an Etsy shop called Design by Diana. Those map flowers are perfect with some travel pictures I have laying here - LOVE them. With a very girly DGD to scrap for I won't have any trouble using those purple flowers.

The School Rules embellishment kit is from another Etsy shop Green Horned Unicorn. I love the collection of layered primary colored flowers and buttons and the beautiful trims. These will go perfectly with some school pictures I have yet to scrap.

I am so lucky to have received these awesome prizes - check out their shops for more fabulous embellies for your scrapbook and card needs.

Dragonflies & Daisies

I won the prize over at Sketch Inspiration with sketch 142. My prize was the Amber Road kit from Dragonflies and Daisies. WOW, that was an amazing prize. I LOVE Pink Paislee papers and these are paired up with some wonderful embellies from Prima, Pink Paisley, Basic Grey and Bo Bunny.

I'll dig into these after I get a card made for Katie's birthday.

Lola

When you think of the colors brown, burgundy and orange you generally think of fall pictures. But, living in Florida, I don't have many fall pictures. I could go dig out some older ones to scrap, but um.....that means I'd have to get up and spend time looking for them. LOL Instead I decided to do the color challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking with pictures of DD's cat (we were cat sitting) when she fell in the pool and I was drying her off.

BG Archaic pp and chipboard anchor
Chatterbox date card
Glitz rub-on journaling piece
