another Fairy layout

Katie is really into the Fairies. She has fairy books, calendar, toys, dolls and pictures with her favorites. Fawn is an "Animal Talent Fairy" which to Katie makes her very special - as Katie loves cats and most animals in general. I used some Crate Paper papers, border sticker, die-cuts and chipboard button, a Stampin Up! journaling stamp on vellum and Glitz frosting bling. I added Ranger Stickles to the Scenic Route chipboard alphas, wings, heart and on some of the designs of the purple pp.

The sketch is from Creative Scrappers.

Thank you for looking.

National Scrapbook Day is this Saturday and there are live and cyber crops happening everywhere you turn. This is my sample layout for the Pre Crop menu challenge over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.

Gotta Love Digi

A great sketch site Creative Scrappers is celebrating their birthday all month long and having a Reader's Reveal on Tuesday and Thursday. I was asked to do a sketch for today - I flipped it to make it work with my pictures and used some Clearsnaps Smooch behind the large photo. The papers are 3 Bugs in a Rug.

oh deer!

Another color challenge from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking - use red, green, white with gold or silver accents. I wanted to get this picture of Jim at the Church Christmas pageant scrapped before I forgot the details - like I could forget!

The sketch is from Creative Scrappers,

Journaling: This year Katie wanted to be a reindeer in the Christmas Pageant. Miss Chris granted her wish by writing in the part. I made her a costume - complete with antlers that lit up!
Then ... Katie got the flu. Jim, the loving and wonderful Grandpa that he is put on the antlers and played Katie's beloved reindeer part. December 14, 2008

May 2010 {SAS}sy kit

The May {SAS}sy Kit is filled with so much! Lots of different manufacturers, lots of embellishments, lots of extras and all for under $30!

The kit is based around the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety collection and has a nice group of coordinating manufacturers tossed in. I think you will love it!

eggstra cute

I tackled another color challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. This time it was magenta, green and blue. To create the magenta piece, I first traced a large scallop pattern onto my cardstock, and cut it out. Then I used my circle punch to create the holes. The original sketch is from Creative Scrappers.

return to the wild

I did one of the color challenges I'd missed back in January - blue, green and brown. Not sure why this one was hard at the time since I use these colors all the time. They worked perfectly with these pictures from WDW Animal Kingdom Safari.

I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

{SAS}sy clothes and more

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking has recently added some additional clothes to their {SAS}sy Clothing Store. So regardless of what you like, there is something for everyone. From t-shirts to sweatshirts, hoodies to tank tops, {SAS}sy undies, even flip video cameras...we have them all! Clothing articles are available in mens, womens, misses, juniors, kids and even some for your animals - with many colors and options to pick from.

I think I need one of these mugs to use with my morning coffee :)

And these undies are just too cute.

SATW - Destination #7 USA & Canada

Our last stop on the Scrap Around the World month long crop is USA and Canada - back home to most of us. For this challenge we were to pick a number; last Friday the numbers revealed our challenge. Mine was #6 - of course because Katie is 6. The prompt words were skate and/or taste; colors were light pink and forest green. I used papers from Upsy Daisy Designs. The pictures are of our youngest DD and her friend skating at the indoor ice rink in Sioux Falls, SD.

Croppy Cat

The April Croppy Cat challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is to lift from Sherriescraps - she has a great gallery, so it was fun to choose a layout to work with. Here's the layout I did with the Basic Grey Archaic line of papers and stamps.

April Reveal

My DT Kit from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking was perfect for some pictures we had taken last July at a Butterfly Rainforest in Gainesville. I also scrapped some birthday pictures, one recent and another from years ago. The SEI Jocelyn papers have bits of glitter and foil - the pictures never do them justice. Then add in some Crate Paper Paper Doll papers and wow the possibilities were endless.

I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Clearsnaps Smooch Spritz and Shimmerz to change the colors of the white Prima "Daisy" festive flower mix and to add a bit of shimmer.

SATW - Destination #5 India

Our next stop - India. The challenge is based on several pictures of women dressed in beautiful wedding attire. I started with a Fancy Pants Glitter Cuts I'd received in a Scrap Attack Mystery Box and went from there. Jim always groans when he sees me scrapping these pictures.

"hello"

The April card challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is a color challenge. We are to use yellow, green, brown and white. I chose a giraffe image from Stampin Up! Stamped in Creamy Caramel on So Saffron. Stitched the little xxx's with Linen thread, inked the edges then distressed them a bit with my dull scissors - I kept them just for this purpose. :) The giraffe paper is from Dream Street and the rest are miscellaneous scraps from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by.

April ad challenge

For my monthly ad challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking I chose this ad. I liked the colors and the possibility of making it a 2 pager. These are pictures from a trip Jim and I took through the south, visiting some plantations.
