Too cute to Spook

I don't do many 2 pagers, but this sketch from Scrap N' Chat was perfect for photos from Katie's 7th birthday at our house. I always love scrapping Halloween colors so was glad when she chose a costume party. Made it easier to plan the party too.

Candy Shoppe Designs is the December sponsor over on the XOXO Girls blog! If you are not familiar with their site, they are a scraplift blog! They have a large design team with an enormous range of scrapbooking styles to choose from. I think everyone get's scrappers block from time to time and scraplifting is a wonderful way to jump start your creating.

What exactly does scraplift mean?

Basically it means copying others' completed layouts in whole or in part, for your own personal use, by adopting design elements and ideas that you like and incorporating them into your own creations. Of course everyone likes to get credit for their ideas so remember it's proper etiquette to give credit to the person you are scraplifting ideas from whenever you borrow someone's ideas.

Deadline for entry will be December 31st. Please make sure you visit the XOXO Girls blog to upload your submission.

Love Me Do

I did a fun 6 week challenge/contest at Dixie Pieces where they posted a challenge each week with a style of music as our theme.

Week 1 was Classic Rock and Roll and titles listed were from the Beatles. I chose "Love Me Do".

This layout is a picture from our wedding in 1973.

Supplies used:
Creative Imaginations die-cut paper, title block and border sticker. DCWV pp. AC Thickers; Reminisce Chicken Basket rub-on alphas. Prima Say it in Pearls, Chatter Box Artsylicious brads. Flowers Bazzill, Prima and misc from my stash. ribbon unknown from stash. stitching done with DMC thread. Chipboard heart by Scrapworks.

Our mini-challenge was to make a card using at least one word from our layout on our card - I used the word "me".

All Stampin Up! except the paper for the tab was a scrap, so not sure where it's from.
