I would like to share with you two ways to use some of your ribbon stash on your layouts.
I used the Daisy ribbon from Adornit found in the store at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking to make these ribbon flowers. It comes in several colors that would make beautiful flowers, I'm using the orange ribbon .
Using cardstock punch a circle the size you want your flower. Cover the whole area with adhesive. I used Art Accents Terrifically Tacky Tape.
Fold the end of the ribbon under to hide the raw edge, then start twisting the ribbon going around and around the circle.
When you get to the outside, leave a little tail to wrap around to the back. You then can embellish them any way you want. I added some Queen & Co. Rox "Classy Reds" for the centers.
The second flower is a ribbon fringe flower. The ribbon must be grosgrain and wider works best. I'm using Bazzill 7/8" Black Dashed Ribbon.
To make the flower, trim off one side edge salvage.
Run a baisting stitch along the uncut edge. Pull the stitches up to gather your flower and cut the ribbon the approximate length you want.
Then start pulling out threads to make the fringe.
Pull the threads together to create a circle and tie off. Add a center to your flower - I used Queen & Co. Rox "Classy Reds".
