Top ten - December
My last and final post of my favorites from the year 2009. I chose this layout I did with an older picture of Jim's Dad, Julius. He passed away only a few months after this picture was taken, so it's a real treasure to our family. I loved using this Pink Paislee line and the Prima Cherry Blossom was the perfect fit.
Top ten - November
Top ten - October
This was a tough month to decide a favorite. I did this layout with my SAS DT kit. This is a picture of our youngest DD and me at Epcot with the holiday decorations. I love the rich colors in this kit and the beautiful varnished and textured papers. This is one of those layouts that I started with a sketch, but by the time I was done, there wasn't much similarity. I added some Shimmerz to the green ring which gave it an almost frosty look.

Top ten - September
Another layout using the Scrap Attack Design Team kit - Lauri sends some of the best products to work with and every month I'm thrilled with my layouts. I chose this layout because it is a good memory of our (Jim and my) trip to Disneyland. I love the Basic Grey die-cut paper and the beautiful crystal flourish - made a fun page for our picture with Minnie.
Top ten - August
Top ten - July

Top Ten in 2009 - January
I got an idea from my friend and fellow DT member of Scrap Attack Scrapbooking that I just HAVE to follow through with. She suggested {or maybe it was more of a challenge} posting your personal TOP TEN favorites of your own work in 2009...kind of a year in review. I LOVE this idea, thanks Misty! I counted 236 layouts this year...so bear with me as I try to narrow it down to my TEN favorites.
here's my January layout - I love the distressed chipboard star I made into a star fish and the little cluster of punched circles.

December DT reveal
Lauri sent me Pink Paislee Amber Road line. I haven't worked with a full line of Pink Paisley in my DT kit before and I have to say it is fun stuff. I loved the matching punch outs, clear border stickers and Post Card paper.
If you have some fall pictures to scrap this is the line you need to add to your Scrap Attack Scrapbooking wish list.
The Prima Cherry blossoms worked perfectly with this paper line.
The punch outs were great as the title, layering under the title, journaling and embellies.

older pictures
I get so caught up in doing recently taken photos it's hard to make myself go back and scrap some of the older pictures. I recently ran across these photos of Jennifer. This would have been her 2nd Halloween.
Did you know November 6th is Pumpkin carving Day? They must have decided on this holiday before people started carving jack-0-lanterns for Halloween. "1st Dig" was for the November Wacky holiday challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.
"Noze" is for a color challenge onScrap Attack Scrapbooking message board - needed to use at least 3 colors, chosen from orange, green, purple, black and white - pretty easy when doing Halloween pages. :)
"Hugs" is a Croppy Cat of Nadine's roller skating layout in the Scrap Attack gallery. Thank you for the inspiration Nadine!

November DT reveal
This month I received the November Plastino {SAS}sy Kit from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.
I loved the variety of papers, fun shaped pieces, a transparency and several embellies. Here are the layouts I created from this one kit. The only things I added was some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Shimmerz and inks for distressed edges.

November ad challenge
Did someone say "November" - geesh the year is flying by!
With a new month comes another ad challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board.
I'm so glad Jim kept some of the South Dakota magazines, they have some great ads. I chose this ad for the photo placement and blocking. Another ad that lends itself to a lot of possibilities.
If you get inspired, please jump over to the SAS gallery and post your layout, I'd love to see your interpretation.

October DT kit
Do you need some papers and embellies for your Christmas pictures? If so, I have a treat for you! I got to use the beautiful line Christmas Mint from SEI in my Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team kit this month.
I added some Pearls & Crystals "Garnet" by Prima Marketing and popped up some punched ornaments to the fussy cut garland on "Tree Trimmers Glow".
I used Angel Wings Shimmerz on the green ring of "Our White Christmas" so that isn't the true color, but gives the paper some extra shimmer. The brown piece is by Chatterbox and has a metallic design in it - just beautiful!
The chocolate brown flocked paper on "Fuzzy Jammies" is by Chatterbox. The big tree and gifts are fussy cut from patterned paper.
On "Cuddle Break" - I got the idea for the layered tree from a blog, but they used fabric - great way to use up scraps.
The white flourishes in the flowers on "Dinner for 5" are fussy cut from left over pieces from the trees on one of the papers.
On "oo0... & ...ahh" I added gold Stickles to the trees on the KI Memories Sheer.
Dig out your metallic pens and use them with this line of paper - I used some bronze around the edge of the picture on "It's Magic".
If you like papers with lots of texture, shiny foil, embossing and varnished layers - this line is calling your name! The line also has matching stickers and accents, perfect for embellishing your layouts and or cards.

October ad challenge
I am just like everyone else - wondering where September went! With a new month comes another ad challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board. I love loooking for ads that I hope will inspire our members to scrap another layout. I chose this ad for the fall colors and photo placement. I think this one lends itself to a lot of possibilities. If you get inspired, please jump over to the SAS gallery and post your layout, I'd love to see your interpretation.
These pictures are of our oldest daughter in 1976.

vertical journaling
I did this layout for the Journaling Challenge on {SAS} message board. We were to journal vertically using more than 3 words. I used the Tiny Chocolate Adornit alpha stickers I got at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking and put them along side of the paper I'd used for my title. The scalloped edge on the pink Scenic Route paper was created with the Stampin Up! scallop punch. Then highlighted with the red Sakura glaze pen. I used the black glaze pen to create the framing lines on the picture.
full of sass
We waited in line 45 minutes to see the fairies at WDW Magic Kingdom; no wonder they are building a special area just for them! Every little girl wants to be there. We go through a corridor that shrinks us down so we can actually see the fairies - how cute is that! I used the embossed cardstock, thickers and Prima journling piece I got at the SAS store. I got the RW Laser Cut TinkerBella in a drawing on the message broad - added some Shimmerz also from the store.
