Christmas '65

I've started a new stamping challenge at Scrapping the Moments.

January's challenge is to stamp a border. I stamped on the journaling piece, keeping it subtle so it doesn't overpower the journaling.

This is Jim's Dad's family.

Thank you for stopping by.

2011

This layout was done for the double page sketch layout at Scrapping the Moments. I used the left side with the pocket for our annual letter. This was our Christmas card. We love looking through this book and seeing our family change over the years.

Thank you for stopping by.

Digging awaits

I'm making a book of photos from the process of building our house. These photos are of the back of the house area for the pool deck. Papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle.

I made this layout for the January color challenge at Scrapping the Moments.

Thank you for stopping by.

Looking to join a DT

...Then check this out:

I am having an open call for 2 people to join our DT @ Scrapping the Moments.
We are a small, friendly, scrap booking/paper crafting community.

I am looking for someone to head up the weekly photography challenge.
You do not need to be a professional photographer to do this.
But I would like someone who is excited about taking photos & know their way around their camera.
You would have to come up with a weekly idea of what we should photograph.
You can see what we have been doing here http://www.scrappingthemoments.com/index.php?topic=2267.0
If you are interested please send some of your photos, ideas you might have for the challenges, a little about yourself,
and if you have a blog please send me a link to it, to pat@scrappingthemoments.com By February 4,2012
If you can't post on the members board or gallery please do not apply.
I am only looking for people who can participate & show interest in our community.

The 2nd position will be doing an ATC challenge. We have just started doing these & there is a lot
of interest in these ATCs by our members. Only apply if you can commit to doing a monthly challenge
and to participate on the message board & gallery. If interested please send me some samples of your
work, especially ATCs you have done & if you have a blog or gallery send a link to that also.
You can send this info to pat@scrappingthemoments.com by February 4,2012.

There is no compensation at this time for our DT members. But there is joy from sharing our talents with others.

Butterfly fairy princess

Do you know what a butterfly fairy princess looks like? What she wears? How she wears her hair?

Katie decided she wanted to dress as a butterfly fairy princess for the birthday party tomorrow afternoon. The kids decided to go in costume.

Katie asked me if I'd make her a dress. Since I had no idea what a butterfly fairy princess wears, I had Katie draw me a picture. This took place on Monday and the drawing was pretty elaborate. I tried to think of a way to make this simpler.

I still had Melissia's dress from when she was a Maid-of-Honor for her cousins wedding. I am using the skirt. Check back later for a picture of the finished dress. Then you'll know what a butterfly fairy princess wears.

Moment

Here's the last layout from Jim's nephew's wedding Y& reception. I did this one for the color challenge at ScrapTastic, plus had to use flowers and bling - not a hard thing to do, especially on a wedding layout.

Play all day

here's a layout using the sketch at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. Used up a lot of scraps on this one and played with my mask, sprays and paint.

Pictures are of Katie and Melissia at Disney Blizzard Beach water park.

summer fun

Sketch #232 at Sketch Inspiration.

Pictures from Disney Blizzard Beach water park. Using a lot of scraps and bits and pieces from several lines.

Political Friends

Jim's Grandmother, when his Grandfather was in the SD legislator. I doubt they even have clubs like this anymore since so many wives work out of the home.
