Spider web cake

I signed up to take a Halloween dessert to the Thornebrooke Elementary School staff and teacher's luncheon.  The PTO does this once a month to support the staff.   We can't take homemade goodies to feed the students, but teachers are another story.  I made a spice cake with grated apples, chopped pecans and raisins - that makes it healthier, right?   The frosting is a cooked dark brown sugar with a little orange food coloring.  The web was added with the tube gel and the spiders are peanut M&M's.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crop

"My Scraps & More" is hosting a crop, and they have the best crops around.  I plan on being there - hope you will join me!

Sweet cheeks

I used Sketch #49 from My Scraps & More sketch blog.    The background was created with damp sponges and a few drops of Poss Impressions ink   The colors were perfect for combining with Sassafras "Mix & Mend" and "Sew Fine".
