Cherish

This layout was done for the last assignment during SSU. We were to make a layout out-of-the-box. I was scored as Eclectic - Old World Charm was my match. This picture is of DH's maternal Grandparents, taken in preparation of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The patterned paper is
7 Gypsies and DCWV, flowers are Prima, pearl is from Stampin Up Pretties Kit, lace and buttons are from my sewing stash, metal clip is by Making Memories and clock sticker is by Colorbok.

Thank you for stopping by.

sundress

Katie chose the fabric and pattern for this sundress. I used Stampin Up! Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon for the trim - can't beat the price when you look at how much by the yard trim is at the fabric store. Today she was to take a flower for her teacher for "Teacher Appreciation week".

SSU #6 class 5

We were to lift a layout of someone's that has similar style as ours. I'd chosen a fun layout Nadine had made with her Design Team kit. Here's my layout.

Stampin Up! workshop cards

I went to a Stampin Up! workshop on Friday night and we completed these cards.

The first 2 cards were stamped with the flower from "Asian Artistry" - I love the angle of this flower. This is a hostess set, guess I'll have to borrow it from my Demo, since I can't get this one. The greeting is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes"

The next 3 cards were made with the tree and branch image from "Thoughts & Prayers". The greetings are from "Thoughts & Prayers and "Teeny Tiny Wishes".

The last card is ways to use up scraps. We punched circles from the Designer Series papers and layered them, added a Rhinestone brad. The greeting is from the set Whimsical Words.

Thanks for stopping by.

You Shine

This layout was done for the color challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking - we needed to use yellow, cream, pink and purple. The pictures are from last year in the Fairy Garden at WDW Epcot and Flower and Garden Festival. Katie needed to stop and read each sign - we love that she has learned to read.

The cardstock is Stampin Up! I sprayed it with Shimmerz Spritz Plum Pudding and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Pink Taffy. Patterned papers and title piece are Crate Paper. Epoxy sticker is Cloud 9 Design.

Thank you for stopping by.

Connor's quilt

This quilt is for our great nephew Connor Reed. I've been making quilts for babies in the family since I learned to quilt in the late '80's. Each one has been different, not only in fabric, but in design. This one is "I spy" log cabin. I paper pieced the 3" pieced block centers, then added the blue and green log cabin strips. The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. I'll get it in the mail next week, need to go out and find some wrapping paper yet. TFL

peep

Another layout for Katie's kindergarten album.

I used some Daisy D's and unknown pp. The chipboard alphas are Creative Imaginations that I inked and spritzed with Clearsnaps Smooch Spritz "Gingersnap" you can buy it here. This is one of my favorite sprays. The felt flower and corduroy buttons are Stampin Up! The chipboard bird is also Stampin Up! which I inked, added some Ranger Distress Stickles "Scrattered Straw" to his beak. You can get this in the Scrap Attack Store store. I need to get another bottle, I'm shaking the last bits down.

I'll add some journaling under the little orangeish twill knot when I get some information from Katie.

patience

This layout is for Katie's kindergarten book. The class had an incubator in the room, waiting until the day the chicks started to hatch was pretty exciting.

I used the sketch at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. I fussy cut the large circled Daisy D's paper. The plaid paper is unknown from my stash. The buttons and chipboard chick are Stampin Up! The chipboard title "patience" is unknown. The FAITH piece is from the packaging of the Jenni Bowlin Bingo cards. The large calendar tag is Maya Road.

May DT layouts

My Scrap Attack DT kit this month was full of Scrap With in Reach Cambridge line. Scrap Attack is offering this kit here, but supplies are limited. The wonderful collection of papers are topped off with Prima flowers and Glitz bling - what more could a scrapper ask for?? At first glance you might think this kit is for "boy" layouts. But I felt they worked well for a variety of different themes.

favorite

The first Stampin' and Scrappin' challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is to do a title.

I have had this Heidi Swapp clear stamp "favorite" a while, but it's never even been out of the package - so it was time to get it inked up.

pp, button and chipboard leaf - Basic Grey
cardstock - Stampin Up!
journaling page - Making Memories
Bingo card - Jenni Bowlin
flower - Prima

These pictures are yet another time playing at WDW Animal Kingdom on a rainy day in January 2008.

chomp

This layout was for the Stampin' and Scrappin' challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. We were to stamp a border of some kind. I used the Basic Grey Archaic clear footprint stamp to stamp across my photo mat. The papers, chipboard and buttons are also Basic Grey. The "Memo" stamped journaling piece is from Stampin Up!

Kit Sneak Peeks

These are snippets from layouts I made...with one of the kits. Watch for a full reveal when the kit is released on the 20th! At first glance you might think these are for "boy" layouts, but I thought they worked well for a variety of different themes.

June {SAS}sy kits

more cards

These cards are made with all Stampin Up! products.

The first card the greeting and flower are from "Kind & Caring Thoughts". The flower was stamped then stamped again without reinking. Such a simple and easy technique, but very effective.

On the second card, I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig with the flourish and flower stamp to get the images touching the way I wanted. I colored them in with an Aqua Painter and ink from the ink pads. The image is from the set "Messages for Mom".

The blue card was stamped with images from "Vintage Vogue".

The last card is using the "Messages for Mom" set again. I punched out the half circle to partially frame the image and used pop dots to raise the area.

All Seasons Cheer

Our card challenge for May
is to do a card with an
animal on it. I chose a
butterfly. All products
are Stampin' Up! The grass is from the set "Inspired by Nature"

May journaling challenge

The May journaling challenge at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is to use the 5 W's in your journaling - Who, What, Where, When and Why. I used these pictures of Katie at WDW Animal Kingdom. I've taken a series of pictures of her measuring herself here, she was so determined to ride this ride. Cardstock and brown pp is Stampin Up, rest of pp is Daisy D's. The tape measure and fussy cut flowers are from Cosmo Cricket Material Girl line the little green leaf and flourishes are from the Basic Grey Lemonade cardstock stickers, the yellow alphas and flower centers are by Pink Paislee.

May ad challenge

The ad challenge for the month of may at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is an ad from the South Dakota magazine for the 1880 train. This design caught my eye, but also the theme reminded me of the picture we had taken while on the train at Animal Kingdom. I also liked the printed border, but used stitching instead. The train background paper is some of the first Basic Grey paper I'd gotten from the Oh! Baby! Boy line. The blue dots and line is Stampin Up! as is the metal photo anchor. The stripe paper is Scenic Route as is the "A Perfect Day" piece. The train ticket is from Maya Road, the chipboard butterfly button is Cosmo Cricket and the journaling card is by Making Memories.

National Scrapbook Day crop

The National Scrapbook Day crop at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking was a ton of fun. There were plenty of challenges, games and RAK's for all that wanted to play along. Here are the pages I got done. The first three layouts were samples for my challenges, the rest are for challenges posted by the rest of the team.
