Each challenge will be different in nature and will be inspired from different places around the world. SSU 5, #3 Bring on the buttons

For the 3rd class we were to use at least 5 buttons on our layout. I used some MOD buttons I'd gotten from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking and attached them to the Kraft Kuts by Fancy Pants.

SSU 5, #2 Paper flowers

For SSU class #2, Nadine gave us tutorials for 6 different paper flowers, most of them using our scraps. I want to try them all! This is flower #1, using strips of paper.

SSU 5, #1 chipboard creativity

The Scrap Attack Message Board is hosting {SAS}sy Scrapbooking University. They started February 15th and are be posting a new tutorial every other night. The 1st class was Chipboard creativity - we were to use naked chipboard, embellish it and use it on a layout or 2 cards. I painted the snowflake white then stamped and heat embossed the flourish with silver.

February DT layouts

This month I worked with the wonderful line of "Bric-a-Brac" by Scribble Scrabble, along with some SEI Moravia, Prima, Rose Moka, Chatterbox and Hambly. Such wonderful colors - perfect for a variety of layouts. One of the fun extras in my Design Kit this month was some "Green Olive" Shimmerz Paints. I used it on the edge of the distressed paper, flowers, to create a border on the shaped cardstock, to darken the Prima Say it in Crystals "Devines" Gem Stems, change the color of the chipboard and to add a bit of shimmer to the alphas.
