Simple Pleasures {SAS}sy Kit

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking has done it again! The August Simple Pleasures {SAS}sy Kit rocks!! This kit is packed with new releases from CHA and they work so well together. One of the best things about it is the versatility of it – good for boys, good for girls…just depends on what side of paper you use. I love all the colors - especially that turquoise and lime green combo, yummy! Perfect for summer, pool, beach, nature and sooo.. many more layouts in your future. Check it out for yourself at the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Store and while you are there check out the add-ons that coordinate perfectly with this beautiful kit. Don't forget that this weekend is {SAS}sy's Birthday crop. I hope to see you there!!

Noah's Ark quilt

My Mom embroidered the blocks and I machine pieced and hand quilted this crib sized quilt for my niece, Chelsea and her husband, Brandon's little baby boy, born in February. I loved the bright blues and the fish fabric I found to use with these fun blocks.

It's a {SAS}sy Birthday Party

Come join ScrapAttackScrapbooking in celebrating their 4th birthday with a weekend full of prizes, games, contests & challenges! Can't get much better than that - so get out your birthday hats, party favors and scrappy supplies! You need to register on the message board and gallery to post your creations, so check it out early and you'll be ready to go. Pssst......there are a couple early challenges planned too!

who would have thought..............

........that stamping on a phone book page would be so cool! This was a challenge on Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. I used a flower stamp by Stampin Up! from the set "Friendship Blooms", embossed it with black detail embossing powder, sprayed them with archival spray, cut the flowers out and layered them. It doesn't hurt that I had this Scenic Route pp and an adorable picture of Katie and Jim reading the morning paper.

1st DT kit

I was thrilled when I got home from vacation and when I went to pick up the big box of mail from the post office I found my first Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team kit. Lauri sent me some yummy papers, alphas and a die-cut from my favorite manufacturer Basic Grey. She also included some College Press papers and journaling cards - this is a company I'd not used before, but it blended beautifully with the Basic Grey Lemonade line. Here are the layouts I made.

Design Team

I found out shortly before we left on vacation that I had made the Design Team at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. I was thrilled and was hoping to be able to post while we were on vacation, but between jet lag, poor internet connections and lack of free time I didn't get as much computer time as I was thinking I would.

Here are my Design Team entry layouts.

July 13, 2009

This is my first post. Probably as good a time to start a blog as any.......we are leaving on a 17 day vacation and I'm looking forward to our first stop - Disneyland. We are regulars at Walt Disney World, so I'm sure this will be the same, but different. Then off to relaxing on the beach in Hawaii with my sweet hubby. Who could ask for a better itinerary.

I'll keep you posted about our trip, that is if I figure this blog thing out :)
